Top 250 and Most Charitable Companies Registration

Each August, Hawaii Business Magazine ranks the state’s largest companies and nonprofits, based on the previous year’s gross revenue – a key indicator of influence. To create the list, we gather self-reported information in a survey that runs in spring. The largest organizations generally exceed $1 billion in revenue, while the smallest exceed $5 million.

The Top 250 survey includes an optional section to report your organization’s charitable giving, which is highlighted each November in our Most Charitable Companies feature. A separate stand-alone survey to gather charitable-giving information also runs in summer.

Registration submissions are accepted throughout the year, but submissions of completed surveys for the Top 250 list close at the end of May (for August publication); completed surveys for Most Charitable Companies close at the end of August (for November publication).
