Ride in Style

“You know, it’s a massage seat, too.”
The chauffeur, Philippe Deprez, pointed to the control panel on the door of the custom-built 2012 Rolls-Royce Ghost EWB, the only one in Hawaii. “Go ahead,” he says, “press that button.”
Talk about traveling in high-class style.
That’s the mission of Albatross Transport, a new chauffeur company offering some of the world’s most luxurious vehicles, including a 2011 Jaguar XJL Supercharged, the 2011 BMW X3 xDrive35i and the aforementioned Rolls-Royce, valued at $350,000.
“We definitely wanted to bring this ultra-luxury experience to the market here,” says Duprez, who’s also the company’s COO. “Hawaii is an international destination, but it hasn’t offered ultra-luxury vehicles like L.A., Singapore and Tokyo.”
Until now.
The company, which provides chauffeured transport services, offers tours with stops at some of Oahu’s top restaurants and scenic lookouts. Or you can rent one of its cars, ranging from $120 to $600 an hour with a two-hour minimum, perfect for impressing dates, transporting wedding parties and schmoozing business clients. Each ride comes with beverages, a confectionary gift, use of an iPad 2 for Web browsing and free Wi-Fi onboard.
