It Takes a Village to Host a Tourist

It’s pandemonium at the semi-annual Housekeeping White Linen Sale as employees vie for deals on the housewares that are being pulled out of service because they’re slightly worn. Sheets, comforters, mattress pads, chairs, tables and other goods – sometimes even TV sets – are stuffed into a room at the back of the house, and available for just a few dollars. Proceeds are donated to charity.
