G.LION HAWAII Roars and Receives Raves for First-Class Hospitality at the 2025 Sony Open in Hawaii
Sweet 16 Chalet Sponsor, Renowned Restaurateur G.LION HAWAII (Hy’s Steak House, La Vie, and Quiora), Celebrates 10 Year Charity Partnership

For the past 58 years, the PGA TOUR has held professional golf tournaments at Waialae Country Club, making Waialae the 2nd longest-running host venue on the TOUR. From the days of the Hawaiian Open, to the quarter-century run of the Sony Open in Hawaii, Waialae Country Club has welcomed and celebrated many tournament champions such as Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, Ernie Els, Justin Thomas, and Hawaii’s Ted Makalena – to name a few.
If you have the chance to visit (or even play a round of golf there!), a must-see feature at the iconic Seth Raynor-designed Waialae Country Club golf course is found on its 16th hole. Known as the “W,” this hole is memorable for the W-shaped palm trees located right behind the putting green and comfortably nestled in-front of the beautiful, pristine Pacific Ocean. The “W” at 16 is a picture waiting to be taken and has served as a backdrop for meaningful memories captured and shared amongst family and friends.
During the Sony Open in Hawaii tournament competition, the “W” hole serves as home to thousands of visitors being “wowed” by golf at the highest level amidst unparalleled scenery. This piece of Waialae real estate is home to the official Sony Open in Hawaii Sweet 16 Chalet. Whether with clients, friends, or family, the Sweet 16 shared hospitality Chalet is Sony Open hospitality central. Situated in the heart of exciting golf action, here in one place you can also enjoy quality time, and delicious food and drink!
