Natural skincare line from Hawai‘i Island continues a family tradition

Ua Body is part of Mana Up’s fifth cohort of Hawai‘i-based companies

Ua Body continues a family natural skincare line formulated 30 years ago on the Island of Hawai‘i.  Ua means rain in Hawaiian and speaks to the nurturing and healing effect of nature.

The company says that each product is handcrafted in small batches in its Hawai‘i workshop. “We honor our legacy by providing products with clean, additive-free formulas consisting of natural and native ingredients to replenish, hydrate and protect the skin.”

The company uses modern packaging in glass and paper that emphasizes sustainability, the company says, and its refill program minimizes the need for plastic.  And 1.5% of each sale goes to the Hawaiian Conservation Alliance.
