Since 1999, the Sony Open in Hawaii has raised over $25 million for Hawaii charities, and in 2024 the Friends of Hawaii Charities and community partner, the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation, distributed $1.2 million in grants from proceeds raised through the 2024 Sony Open in Hawaii tournament to charities strategically serving the Hawaii community through the ALICE Initiative (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed), Kūpuna Aging in Place, and Promising Minds programs. 

The 2025 Sony Open in Hawaii will be held January 6-12, 2025, at Waialae Country Club.
