Keeping It Personal

“Treating customers and employees like extended family is an integral part of our corporate culture,” says George Pasha, IV, President and CEO of Pasha Hawaii. This third-generation, family-owned company has been shipping cargo to and from Maui since 2005, the year Pasha Hawaii introduced M/V Jean Anne, the only fully enclosed, dedicated roll-on/roll-off vessel that calls direct to Maui from the Mainland.

“I’ve been a part of this company from the beginning, when Pasha Hawaii first started operating in Hawaii,” says long-time Maui resident Kilinahe Noa, terminal manager at Kahului Harbor. “There are two very important things about Pasha Hawaii. First, it’s a family-owned company and second, they hire a lot of local people which means they are investing in Hawaii and our local community.”

Contributing to Maui’s community goes beyond investing millions of dollars to build state-of-the-art vessels and to maintain a highly efficient and dependable infrastructure. It also means giving back and supporting Maui’s businesses. As sponsors of programs like the Made in Maui County Festival and Maui Economic Development Board’s Ke Alahele Education Fund, Pasha Hawaii is helping to support the future generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs on Maui.
