Speakers:
Eric Chang, Hawaii Marketing Manager, Kona Brewing Co.
Eric is a graduate from the UH College of Business. He spent the majority of his 11-year stint on the mainland building the King’s Hawaiian brand nationally and is now back home in Hawaii as the Senior Marketing Manager for Kona Brewing Company. Kona Brewing Company has encouraged Eric to define and shape his new role as they look forward to the future with building a larger, state of the art brewery in Kona.
Daniel Chun, Director of Sales, Community & Public Relations – Hawaii, Alaska Airlines
Daniel Chun is the Hawaii director of sales, community and public relations for Alaska Airlines. He leads the airline’s sales, marketing and community outreach efforts throughout the state of Hawaii. Chun has over 15 years of experience in Hawaii’s tourism industry, starting at the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, where he helped to develop international travel to the Islands. Chun then served for seven years as the special assistant to the State of Hawaii’s governor-appointed tourism liaison, where he coordinated with government agencies and the visitor industry on tourism-related matters. Prior to joining Alaska, Chun was the executive director of the Honolulu Gay & Lesbian Cultural Foundation, an umbrella organization for the Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival.
Lindsey Chun-Hori, Director of Marketing, Consolidated Theatres
Lindsey Chun-Hori is the Director of Marketing at Consolidated Theatres and a pie enthusiast at her family’s bakery, The Hawaiian Pie Company. She is inspired by stories that bring people together and draws from that emotional connection in her work developing marketing initiatives. Born and raised in Manoa Valley, Hawaii, Lindsey is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. You can regularly find her at the movies or in the pie shop with her family.
Moderator: Bernard Uy, Co-Founder & Creative Director, Wall-to-Wall Studios
Trained as a graphic designer, Bernard co-founded Wall-to-Wall Studios in Pittsburgh, PA in 1992 and returned home to launch the second office in Honolulu in 2005. Wall-to-Wall Studios specializes in growing brands through an integrated approach to design, advertising, online and environmental experiences, collaborating with local and national clients in the arts, education, hospitality, real estate, development, retail and technology. The agency has long been known for its approach to using humor, wit and emotion to forge connections between a brand and their audience. Bernard has been actively involved with the AIGA, the professional association for design as past President of both Pittsburgh and Honolulu chapters. He has taught communication/graphic design as an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon, Chaminade University of Honolulu and as a visiting professor at the St. Gallen School of Design in Switzerland. In 2009, he was named “Advertising Man of Year” by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Hawaii. He spends most mornings thinking about lunch.
