As the only licensed and accredited comprehensive medical rehabilitation hospital in Hawaii, The Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific (REHAB) is dedicated to helping patients rebuild their lives. Our goal is to empower patients to reach optimal health and independence, getting them back home and back into the community.

Since 1953, REHAB has been an indispensable part of the local community. Guided by a mission to rebuild lives together with individuals, families and communities, we provide exemplary care to more than 10,000 patients with physical and cognitive disabilities, such as stroke and spinal cord injuries, in Hawai‘i and the Pacific each year.

REHAB has the professional experience, compassion and drive to help patients meet and overcome the difficulty and challenges of rehabilitation — over 90% of our patients return home better and faster.

The drive to continuously improve is one of the reasons REHAB has been consistently recognized amongst the top 10 percent of national medical rehabilitation hospitals and as a top performer in acute medical rehabilitation by the United Data Systems for Medical Rehabilitation since 2014. To ensure that we meet the needs of the community we serve, we have introduced new programs and services over the years that allow us to deliver rehabilitation care in the best way possible. This includes extensive upgrades to create a state-of-the-art facility, programs to engage family and friends in recovery, and expanded, enhanced spaces — from our website to a new Physicians Clinic — that provide a better patient experience.

While education, technology and research play an important role in advancing our services, what sets us apart is our team. With 82 licensed patient beds, 3 outpatient clinics and a Physicians Clinic, REHAB employees cover the full array of rehabilitation therapy services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language pathology, recreational therapy, rehabilitation-certified nursing, and more.
