 ekauoha\, Micah G\, MānoaDNA\, Jon Yamasato\, Funkshun\, RKSB\, and Kama K
 akaio. The nearly 2\,000-person event will feature a variety of food and a

 Dinner will be held on Saturday\, August 24\, at the Hawaii Convention Cen
 ter. The dinner is sponsored by the Hawaii State Bar Foundation (HSBF).&nb
 sp\;<br />\n	<br />\n	The dinner theme for this year is &quot\;The Spirit 
 of Aloha&quot\; in honor of the late Senator Daniel K. Inouye and retired 
 Senator Daniel K. Akaka. Both will be acknowledged at the dinner for their
  contributions to Hawai&rsquo\;i and our nation.<br />\n	<br />\n	Senator 
 Inouye gave generations of Hawaii attorneys a chance to serve in Washingto
 n D.C. and instilled in these fortunate individuals his deep sense of comm
 itment to public service\, high standards of work ethic\, and respect for 
 the law. This year would have marked the 60th year of Senator Inouye&rsquo
 \;s membership in the Hawaii Bar.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>\n	Senator Akaka\, while 
 not a member of the HSBA\, contributed immeasurably to our State as a memb
 er of the U.S. House of Representatives and as a U.S. Senator for more tha
 n two decades. As a U.S. Army veteran\, an educator\, and public school ad
 ministrator\, he embodies the HSBA&rsquo\;s goal of civility in the pursui
 t of justice and fairness.&nbsp\;<br />\n	<br />\n	Proceeds support educat
 ion and access to justice projects. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit 
 the Supreme Court Oral Argument Project\, which enables private and public
  school students to attend oral arguments of the Hawai&rsquo\;i Supreme Co
 urt\, similar to the innovative oral arguments and question and answer for
 ums that the Court held in 2012 at Farrington High School and Baldwin High
  School. Events are being planned for Hilo\, Kona and Kauai by the Chief J
 ustice and the Court. The Project is part of an effort to educate students
  about the role of the judiciary in our government.</p>\n<p>\n	Proceeds fr
 om the dinner will also be used to provide financial assistance to legal s
 ervice providers for their respective projects and activities. Prior recip
 ients include the Access to Justice Rooms on Oahu and the Self Help Center
 s on the Neighbor Islands\, the September 11th Fund organized by the Hawai
 i Community Foundation\, the Children&#39\;s Advocacy Center\, Hina Mauka\
